Saturday we debated on going to church that night or going to Auburn for a quick trip to Sam's and to play around in Tiger town haha! We decided to go to church Sunday morning and head over to Auburn. Jackson entertained us for awhile before we left. Uncle Brian's CD was the backing track for his show.
After our short time in Sam's I started feeling terribly dizzy and hot (what's new?) so we had to go sit down and eat something. I'm hoping my problem is low blood sugar. I did feel better after we ate. We took a drive around the Auburn campus because we had never been over to it before. I thought it was really pretty and it made me miss being in college!

So Sunday we made it to church. Jack went to big church with us and was perfect. He liked the music and the clapping. After Miss Phenix City sang 2 awesome songs everyone clapped and Jackson started singing during the silence, it was the sweetest little innocent voice! He was trying to sing the song she sang :) We love our church here, Golden Acres . I want to bring them with us when we move home! A really nice blogger friend (The Patriotic Peacock) suggested we give them a try and I am so thankful!
After church we were so tired because Saturday was a late night, so we snuggled and watched a Disney documentary on the Travel Channel.
Then we "had" to go use a Bruster's coupon....the sun was in their eyes when I was taking pics.
Jack's cone was free! Kids 40 inches tall and under get a free cone. He is 40 inches :) |
Our waffle cones were huge! Not bad for $4 total for all 3 of us. Coupons and ice cream...how can you go wrong? I heard there is a Bruster's in Arkansas now too. :)
Should help my low blood sugar right? |
Craving ice cream yet?
Skinned his knee "exploring" at Bruster's We are loving the blonde hair on his little boy legs! |

He just couldn't take it anymore and passed out. Jeremy and I decided to drive around for fun and let him sleep a little. We finally found an area that we had been looking for! Not a big deal, but when we were house hunting we passed this certain intersection a dozen times...then once we moved here we never saw it again! At last we re-discovered it and it all makes sense now :)
Monday was pretty decent. It was a low key morning and afternoon
Proud of my good eater! His snack of choice again was broccoli, carrots, ranch, and hummus. He made a happy Mickey plate pretty quickly :) Our neighbor left Jackson a surprise on our doorstep today! He was in Afghanistan for 11 months, so Jeremy has been mowing his yard while he was gone. Sadly someone even stole his mower from his back patio while he was deployed too! Anyway, he tried to give Jeremy money for looking out for his place, and Jeremy wouldn't take it. So he gifted Jack :) What a nice guy! He did the same thing last year when Jeremy helped him get into his house instead of calling a locksmith haha! He picked out some very "Jackson" toys too. It made Jack's day!
Toys these days....you have to work to get them out of the box!
Jackson unscrewed a total of 12 screws from the boxes of his new Camaro and remote controlled front end loader! He always pronounces it "remotecan control".
Not bad for $30 bucks! |
I'm kind of back in the coupon game again...even though I need to be cleaning out the refrigerator for our move! It is really hard to turn down 30 cent bags of Green Giant veggies and $2 family size Stouffer's meals! Oh and Cinnamon Toast Crunch for 50 cents when both my guys love it! Anyway, Jeremy came home from work early (yay!) so we took off on a coupon run. I was happy to beat the quitting time traffic. I'm not going many places by myself with Jackson until I get lined out :(
For some reason, in stores and places with brighter lights my dizziness always kicks in .
Once we got home Jackson wanted to finger paint, so we set him up on his little table outside. It wasn't long until he was distracted by the water hose and soaking wet....but next time we will try for outside too. Much easier to clean up that way! We went for a walk around the neighborhood before the sun went down. I always feel good after walking! It rained on us a little bit and was really nice out! We took the stroller, so Jackson was enjoying being under his little shelter and sightseeing. I didn't get a picture, but I did get a pic of him once he finally passed out tonight! Funny boy :)
One day he will not like me for this picture. |
