I didn't get around to blogging Wednesday for some reason. We spent the majority of the day outside! Jackson woke up and wanted to wear my robe on Wednesday morning. We had a surprise from Daddy once we got to the kitchen and he was grinning from ear to ear when he saw his note :)

That evening we spent outside with lots of flames to deter the mosquitoes. They really aren't as bad as they were, but Jeremy has a problem with them regardless. They are drawn to him. Just in case, I put Jackson in some sleeves and pants. We played with leftover sparklers, citronella candles, and tiki torches once again. I'm channeling my inner Hawaiian with the tikis...oh how I miss Hawaii.

Thursday included a trip to post for another appointment. Jack always says "There's Daddy's work!" when we get to his favorite part of the drive, the entrance to Fort Benning. He loves the flags, fountains, and statues! It is really pretty

We had to get prescription refills....exciting.

Next up we decided to try the Mexican place on post. I could eat guacamole everyday, and apparently Jackson could too. He stole ours and ate almost all of it! Other than awesome guac the restaurant was just OK.

After dinner we went to the playground for about an hour. Jackson still didn't want to leave. It was right next to the dog park and it made me miss my pups!

Once we got home after a very quick CT scan, Jackson was thrilled to find a special delivery at the door. He had no clue what was inside!
He was headed inside with his new play doh

Calling Nana to say thank you

Friday we met up with our neighbors for play time at the playground and splash park here in town. Jack choose the location. He wanted to go to post for the really nice pools and splash area but this place was a close second for him. We are going to be on post quite a bit next week, so I didn't want to drive over there Friday. That and I wasn't sure if I would get dizzy and wanted to be close to home.

His favorite part of the splash park is this gun.
Fun! I would have loved this as a kid. Maybe even now :)

That is his little friend there in the pink
When we first arrived, Jackson was the only kid in the splash area. He loved it. Then around 4 or 5 younger little girls eventually came out to play. For once, my kid was the oldest and roughest! That was new haha! He wasn't really rough, but at one point a little tiny girl was making her way across and he sprayed her with the gun :-/ and thought it was hilarious. He is used to being one of the little guys, but not this time! I watched him pretty closely and told him to look out for the small people! Once an equally mischievous little girl got the other gun and started spraying him...he looked back at me and I told him to shoot her back. She didn't like it very much. She kept coming back for more though and his lil evil grin stayed on his face. More people, including his buddy showed up about 20 minutes after we got there. I was wondering how we got so lucky on a Friday with hardly no one there, but then Sophia reminded me that school had started.

They played well together. At one point another little girl their age was playing with them. He experienced his first "third wheel" situation :( They left him out some, but he handled it well. He would just take off to play on his own or would get me to go push him on the swing. The rest of the time he was showing off  for them. He had to be the highest on the spinny thing and the fastest to spin them. It ended with so much spinning that he told me he was going to be sick. His cheeks were so pink, poor guy.

He was tired and cranky when we got home. I cooked dinner then we sat out front and let him play. I got a new volleyball Thursday and I'm so excited about it. I love playing with or without a net. I think Jeremy was sick of me hitting the ball to him, but I need a partner to play with me! Jackson just kept taking it from me and running.
