Home sweet home

Just a quick update! We are home and still settling in. Jeremy stayed retired for a day maybe, and has been busy on projects since we got here! Somehow things are very fast paced lately, but we are trying to take things day by day! I'll add pics when I can. My blogger app won't let me add any (shocker). I need to break down and pay for the other app and see if that helps.

Nothing spectacular is really going on around here this week. We are packing and trying to prepare for the move! Movers will be here in 10 days and we leave here in 14! Unbelievable.

We are still having daily rain showers.
He rediscovered his overalls. Said he wants
to be like Max on Max and Ruby.

Bubble wrap doubles as a good place to enjoy a Popsicle

Loading the trailer with his necessities. He loaded his Diego tricycle, bubbles, and the chair bags below so he can "sit in them while he watches TV at Grandma and Grandpa's". He forgot the chairs!

All pictures are protected and boxed

More play time outside. It was so hot today though, in the 90's.

I ended on a good note at Publix! All this for $4 after tax. I just had to share!!

Sky shot!
I am enjoying some decaf on this off and on rainy Friday night. Boy do I feel old!

Labor Day Weekend

I wrote this earlier this week and I thought I posted it already! I don't know what happened.

We started off Thursday afternoon with a road trip. We headed out to Atlanta for the night. Jack made sure to bring his giraffe from the Atlanta zoo last time!

Jackson has been so excited for our trip to Atlanta! We only went for one night, but it was mostly a good little trip. Since we are on a major countdown to leave here, we decided to get up to the aquarium one more time. Last July Jackson and I went up for the day and met with some friends. I knew he had grown so much since then, so I wanted him to experience it again.
Happy to be here!

Swimming buddy

After swimming we killed some time in the room
Then walked over to Waffle House, where Jackson got a job

I thought the title of this magazine was interesting. I had to look twice!

Sweet sleepy baby
Friday
Our hotel time was short. We mainly wanted to be in Atlanta when we woke up, so we could get to the aquarium early. Atlanta is about 90 miles from our house, and Jackson loves to stay in hotels and swim so we like to when we have the chance.
During breakfast Jackson told us his tummy hurt.
We got to the room and 5 minutes later he was throwing up :( I just don't understand why he has been so sick lately! You can't even tell he feels bad most of the time. After he got sick he rested in bed until he felt like snacking a little. He ate some dry cinnamon toast crunch and chex mix and he was fine. I don't get it.

Although it was later than we wanted to leave, we decided to go on to the aquarium. It was only 10:30 anyway.

Place to touch the stingrays

Taking his own pictures of the fish

Massive fish tank! :)

Telling a lady that the penguin is his friend

During lunch we got to watch more of the Beluga whales.

I love the Georgia Aquarium, but it is so darn expensive!

This was before the dolphin show.
We couldn't take pictures during it.
The frog area was really cool!

Loved the jellyfish!

This is when we were entering the aquarium tunnel. Jackson loved it because it had a moving walkway.
You lookin at me?

 So cool! Fish all around

Mesmerized. That is what it's all about!
There is one giant fish that lives in this part of the aquarium, a whale shark. It was so impressively huge!!

Petting an anemone. Pretty cool literally. This
was in the arctic land.
We had a great time, but Jackson was so tired he barely got into his car seat before he was out like a light! We left Atlanta around 4:30. We thought we were being smart by going on a Friday instead of the weekend, but the Chick Fil A kickoff game was at the Georgia Dome on this night. Plus there was a super hero parade in town. Who knew? We missed it. We were back home before the sun went down, so that was nice!

I love passing by ATL and seeing all the planes.
Some look like they are going to land on the interstate.

Asleep with his souvenir.A yellow diesel that hauls fish
You fill it with water.
We sat outside on this night and stared at the blue moon for awhile too!

Thanks for the bright flash!

Saturday

Jeremy got up much earlier than we did on Saturday to fix my car. The guy that put my brakes on last time put them on backwards....which caused my rotors to go bad. So he replaced those and the brakes (yay for auto zone lifetime warranty!) We took Jackson to Dollar Tree for batteries for his Disney monorail, to get a snow cone and unsuccessfully went box hunting.

The owner of the snow cone stand also runs a pet shop. We like to go inside to see the birds and fish.
This guy is so friendly! He is like a dog and loves to be petted.
Saturday night I decided to challenge myself on emptying out our freezer. I made a small dent in what we had left, and made some pretty good veggie beef soup!

Our day ended with a pretty sky, happy me!
Then more of our typical tikis and sparklers. We are officially out of sparklers now. Symbolic for our Labor Day weekend....not only saying bye to summer...but to our home pretty quickly!

Sunday we slept in and missed church :( We will have to catch up online! There really is nothing much else to report for Sunday. I don't think we even left the house! Jeremy and Jackson finished weed eating the yard.

Monday was Wal Mart for a couple of things and luckily we got home right before a huge storm. We had some flash flooding and lots of lightning and thunder that lasted all night off and on. Jackson got new skates! Between the storms we were outside watching him practice.
He has been taking pride in dressing himself, today he wanted socks
for the first time in his life probably. He put on these Woody socks from
Toy Story then decided they didn't match. Came back with gray ones :)
He chose his entire outfit

So far so good! Next time he will practice in long pants. He had a couple falls that frustrated him some, but he didn't give up!
