Last night Jackson requested Goodnight Moon as one of his bedtime books. We have been reading this since he was born, so it has a special place in my heart! It is one of those that when he's gone to college, I'll probably open to the first page and start crying.
He went to work with Jeremy today since I had more appointments to go to. He has always loved Mr. Green, Jeremy's coworker :) They had been out in the rain today when I took this picture. Jackson is always asking about him, and when he isn't there he wants to know why!
No visit to Daddy's work is complete without stopping by the Chaplain's office for snacks.
Once we got home tonight we realized the mosquitos were too bad to sit outside, yikes! So we came in for awhile...but Jackson was desperate to go back out. Grandma mentioned putting him in long sleeves and pants, and that worked out well! Luckily it wasn't too hot here and he did great. We played Frisbee, spotted airplanes, slid and swung, ate some popsicles, played with leftover poppers from July 4th, and lit up the tiki torches...all while Jeremy napped. He still isn't feeling well.
Once the sun went down we had some sparkler time. No problem with the mosquitos all night, probably thanks to the tikis and sparklers. I think as long as Jackson can stand it, we are going to keep going with the sleeves and pants in the evening. Hopefully some more of his pants still fit! He went through a huge growth spurt recently.
I'm back to work couponing too! Only the really good deals though, I don't want to haul a ton of groceries to Arkansas when we move back. |
